A man was left shocked after discovering that the apprentice he had called to help stop a theft at his house was allegedly the same person caught stealing from him.
In a video widely circulated on social media, the man explained how his apprentice was apprehended at his house for allegedly stealing from him.
The video shows the apprentice tied to a window with a net after he was reportedly caught by people at the house.
Narrating the incident, the man said he received a phone call informing him that his house was being robbed.
In response, he immediately called his apprentice and asked him to rush to the house to help salvage the situation.
However, to his surprise, someone else answered the apprentice's phone and informed him that the apprentice had been caught at the house allegedly stealing from him.
When the man arrived at the house, he discovered that the same apprentice he had called for help was the person who had been apprehended and tied to the window.
"When I called his number, the person who answered told me it was my boy who had been caught stealing from me," the man said.
A man behind the camera also commented on the incident, saying, "Imagine how much your master trusted you that he called you to rush to his house because someone was stealing from him, not knowing that you were the one stealing from him."
Four explosive revelations by Interior Minister that have sparked nationwide debate
The video was shared on social media with the caption, "An employer called his employee to rush to his home after being informed that someone was stealing his products, only for another person to answer the phone and tell him they had caught the thief, who turned out to be the same employee he had called."
