Watch as Nsawam-Adoagyiri youth clash with police over alleged destruction of property

Tensions have erupted in Nsawam-Adoagyiri after some youth clashed with the police over allegations that officers failed to prevent members of the Zongo Community from vandalising properties in the community.

A video shared on social media by We Love Ghana on July 8, 2026, captured the moment, the youth engaged the officers in a heated argument over the incident.

The youth claimed that several properties in the area had been destroyed, including streetlights, shops, and other facilities.

According to a resident, the alleged attacks left parts of the community in darkness after streetlights were damaged, while a mobile money vendor was also reportedly robbed and air conditioners removed from some shops.

“They have destroyed properties in the community, damaged streetlights leaving the area in darkness, taken money from a mobile money vendor, and removed air conditioners from shops,” the resident alleged.

The youth are demanding swift action from the authorities as tensions continue to rise in the community.
