Ministry of Education staff participate in national flood aftermath clean-up exercise

Staff of the Ministry of Education joined the national flood aftermath clean-up exercise, demonstrating the Ministry's commitment to environmental sanitation and national development.

The Chief Director, directors of the various directorates, and other staff members actively participated in the exercise by desilting gutters, clearing drains, weeding overgrown areas, and cleaning the Ministry's surroundings.

The Head of the Civil Service, Dr Evans Aggrey-Darkoh, visited the Ministry during the exercise and commended the staff for their active participation.

He encouraged staff not to wait for presidential directives before taking action to keep their surroundings clean, stressing that environmental cleanliness should become a regular responsibility and a shared civic duty.

Dr Aggrey-Darkoh also expressed his delight at the Ministry of Education's participation, noting that education plays a critical role in shaping people's mindset and outlook.

He said the Ministry is well positioned to champion the values of environmental cleanliness and inspire positive behavioural change towards building cleaner and healthier communities.
