The left-back penned a two-year deal, set to expire in 2028, with the possibility of an extension depending on his performances.
Club officials had earlier indicated that Mensah’s impressive displays at the 2026 World Cup convinced them to secure his services to strengthen their defense.
Mensah featured prominently for the Black Stars during the tournament, cementing his place at left-back with a series of outstanding performances.
His ability to neutralize Arsenal wingers Bukayo Saka and Noni Madueke in Ghana’s clash against England earned him recognition at the tournament and the admiration of Ghanaian football fans.
His standout displays attracted interest from Köln, who believe his skill set will bolster their defense and enhance their chances of competing for honors.
