The National Youth Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Salam Mustapha, has launched a scathing attack on Raymond Archer, Chief Executive Officer of the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO), following the arrest of party communications team member, Dennis Miracles Aboagye.
Aboagye, who was granted bail of GH¢50 million on July 13, 2026, had been detained at EOCO over allegations of misappropriating GH¢55 million, sparking outrage within the party.
In response, NPP leaders, lawyers, and sympathisers massed at the EOCO premises to demand his release.
Speaking exclusively to GhanaWeb, Salam Mustapha accused Archer of deliberately subjecting individuals to needless suffering.

According to him, Archer is “fond of arresting people and leaving them to suffer while he sits in comfort, allowing those who are not criminals to endure unnecessary hardship.”
“It’s not just persecution. It’s perversion. Because you see, it’s deliberate. That is what makes it bad, that is what makes it terrible, and that is what makes paying back inevitable. Every party has its hawks and its doves, and when you do this, the hawks in the NPP will also take note. One day, when you lose power, people will want to pay you back,” he said.
“That is why we must be careful how we misbehave with power. Treat people with respect. If you need someone for any investigation, invite him. If he has done wrong and there is a need for him to answer, invite him to come and answer,” he stated.
“…But when somebody who is not a criminal, who is not running from justice, is dumped for two days, that is not right. A man is able to pick another man, dump him somewhere, then lie back in comfort while another’s freedom is under siege. And you feel okay, forgetting there is a tomorrow, then you are sick in the head,” he added.
