Dennis Miracles Aboagye has spoken for the first time after his release from the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO), saying his detention has not changed his decision to contest for the position of National Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Aboagye said he was detained four days after announcing his intention to seek the party position.

“I am out. I am unbroken. And I am more ready than ever,” he shared in a social media post.

He also rejected reports linking him to an alleged GH¢55 million matter, insisting that the issue never came up during his interaction with EOCO.

“For the records: There was no discussion of any GH¢55 million with me by EOCO. None,” he stated.

Aboagye thanked NPP supporters who publicly campaigned for his release, saying their support encouraged him during his detention.

“To every party faithful who hit the streets, who raised their voices, who refused to be silent, I saw you. I heard you. You did not just defend Dennis Miracles Aboagye; you defended the principle that no voice can be intimidated into silence,” he said.

He added that the experience had strengthened his resolve to continue his campaign for the NPP Communications Director position.

“If the intention was to break me, it has failed. If the intention was to scare me, it has failed spectacularly. I will lead the New Patriotic Party’s Communications Directorate to command the narrative, and no cell, no false story, no intimidation will change that,” he concluded.
