Fast-rising Ghanaian talent production, Lordico Promotion Football Academy has signed a huge partnership with Gambian academy, Bakoteh United Football Academy to facilitate a player exchange programme.

The collaboration, announced by the leadership of both academies, aims to enable young talents to experience different styles of play, coaching philosophies, and competitive environments in the two neighbouring countries. The programme is set to officially commence in September this year.

"My Lord Nana Kwasi Abankwa, CEO of Lordico Promotion Football Academy, expressed enthusiasm about the initiative. “This partnership represents a new chapter in our commitment to holistic player development. By exchanging players, we will expose our young athletes to diverse tactical approaches and cultural experiences that will sharpen their skills and broaden their football intelligence,” he stated.

On his side, Bakary Bojang, CEO of Bakoteh United Football Academy stated that his outfit has earned a strong reputation as one of The Gambia’s leading youth development outfits.

He stated that the academy is renowned for nurturing top talents including Yankuba Minteh, the highly-rated Gambian winger who currently plays for for Brighton & Hove Albion in the English Premier League.

Officials from both academies believe the exchange programme will create mutual benefits, helping players adapt to new training methods, improve technical abilities, and build international networks.

The partnership is expected to include regular player swaps, joint training camps, scouting missions, and knowledge-sharing between coaches.

Lordico Promotion Football Academy, based in Gomoa Mangoase in Ghana’s Central Region, continues to focus on discipline, humility, teamwork, and leadership alongside football excellence.

Further details regarding the structure of the player exchange and specific activities will be released as the September launch approaches.
