Management of the Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL) has announced the closure of the Terminal 3 car park at the Accra International Airport to the public and stakeholders.

In a statement issued on July 16, 2026, GACL said the closure will take effect from Monday, July 20, 2026.

According to the statement, the closure is to facilitate the construction of a new seven-storey multi-purpose car park and airport hotel complex.

“Management of Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL) wishes to inform the general public that, effective Monday, 20th July 2026, the existing Car Park at Terminal 3, Accra International Airport (AIA), will be closed to both stakeholders and the general public," it said.

GACL assured airport users that alternative parking arrangements have been made to minimise inconvenience during the construction period.

According to the statement, the newly constructed Terminal 3 Car Park Annex will serve as the alternative parking facility for both passengers and visitors.

“To ensure continued parking availability, GACL has constructed the Terminal 3 Car Park Annex, which has a capacity of more than 600 vehicles and will serve the general public during this period. Parking attendants will be on hand to direct all airport users in and out of the new car park,” it added.
