Watch as police officer cocks gun at KMA official during alleged disagreement

A Ghana Police Service officer has been captured in a widely circulated video pulling a firearm on a man reported to be an official of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) during a confrontation.

In the video, the police officer is seen alongside several bystanders as they attempt to calm tensions during an argument between the two public officials.

The two men are heard exchanging words over what is alleged to be a dispute involving the towing of a vehicle.

At the height of the confrontation, the police officer appears visibly agitated, pulls his sidearm from its holster, cocks it and walks toward the KMA official.

Bystanders quickly intervene, attempting to restrain the officer and de-escalate the situation to prevent the confrontation from turning violent.

The video was accompanied by the caption, "A police officer pulled a gun during a heated confrontation with a Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) officer over the towing of an illegally parked vehicle in Kumasi."
