Vozinha, Haaland, Messi – FIFA unveil 2026 World Cup Team of the Tournament

FIFA have officially unveiled the Team of the Tournament for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with Cape Verde goalkeeper Vozinha, Argentina captain Lionel Messi and Norway striker Erling Haaland among the standout names selected by supporters worldwide.

The Best XI reflects the performances of players who impressed throughout the expanded 48-team tournament, which concluded with Spain defeating Argentina 1-0 in the final to lift their second World Cup title.

Leading the attack is France's Kylian Mbappé, who finished as the tournament's top scorer with 10 goals to claim the Golden Boot. The French superstar also provided four assists and broke the all-time World Cup scoring record during the competition.

Messi, who captained Argentina to a runners-up finish, was included after another influential campaign, while Haaland earned his place following a series of impressive displays for Norway during their run to the knockout stages.

Cape Verde's veteran goalkeeper Vozinha was one of the surprise inclusions after producing a string of outstanding saves that helped the Blue Sharks make history in their debut campaign.

Spain, the newly crowned world champions, are represented by defender Pedro Porro, left-back Marc Cucurella and midfield maestro Rodri, all of whom played key roles in La Roja's triumph.

England midfielder Jude Bellingham also made the cut after inspiring the Three Lions to a third-place finish, while France defender Dayot Upamecano, Argentina centre-back Lisandro Martínez and France winger Michael Olise completed the XI.
