Lawrence Setordjie has joined Eintracht Frankfurt
Ghanaian teenager Lawrence Setordjie has taken a major step in his promising career after completing a move from Accra Lions to German Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt.
The 18-year-old attacking midfielder has signed a long-term contract with the Eagles and will initially continue his development with the club's U21 side, where he is expected to adapt to German football before pushing for a place in the senior team.
The transfer comes just months after Eintracht Frankfurt entered into a strategic partnership with Accra Lions aimed at identifying and developing some of Ghana's brightest young talents.
Setordjie leaves Accra Lions after establishing himself as one of the club's standout young prospects. Despite his age, he amassed more than 50 appearances across the Ghana Premier League and Division One League, earning a reputation for his creativity, close control and composure in the final third.

Accra Lions confirmed the transfer, describing it as another significant milestone for both the player and the club's youth development project, which has produced several talents now playing abroad.
The move gives Setordjie the opportunity to continue his development in one of Europe's top football environments. If he impresses with Eintracht Frankfurt's reserve side, the gifted midfielder could soon earn the chance to break into the Bundesliga outfit's first team.
