Journalist suspended over leaked intimate video

Ghanaian journalist Rexford Adu Ntim, popularly known as DJ KA, who has become the centre of attention on social media in recent days following the circulation of leaked intimate videos, has been suspended by the media house he works for.

In a statement issued by Kessben Media and shared on social media on July 24, 2026, the media organisation condemned the viral videos and distanced its brand, management and staff from the incident.

According to Kessben Media, DJ KA has been asked to stay off duty while the matter is being investigated.

The company also stated that he would receive the necessary support to help him cope with the trauma arising from the incident.

“The public is assured of the company’s resolve to restore the confidence and trust so far reposed in Kessben Media and will not shield any person found to be complicit in this situation.

“In the interim, the staff involved has been asked to stay off duty and submit to the inquest. He will also be assisted to undergo the necessary attention to enable him to overcome the ensuing trauma. The support will include counselling, rehabilitation and legal assistance where necessary,” the statement read.

The media organisation further disclosed that it has launched a full internal investigation into the leaked videos, noting that the findings will determine its next course of action.

“Kessben Media, as a first step towards ensuring full disclosure of the unfortunate incident, has instituted an internal inquest to better understand the entire matter. The outcome of the inquest will inform the next steps to be taken.

“The public is assured of the company’s resolve to restore the confidence and trust so far reposed in Kessben Media and will not shield any person found to be complicit in this situation.”

Kessben Media also appealed to the public to refrain from sharing the sensitive videos and urged people to stop associating the brand with the incident.

“In view of the sensitive nature of the material currently in circulation, the cybersecurity implications involved, and the existing laws governing the possession and distribution of such content, the public is respectfully entreated to desist from sharing or distributing the videos.

“We further humbly request that the media fraternity bear with us and refrain from discussions that associate the Kessben Media brand with the incident, taking into consideration the purported time the incident occurred,” the statement added.
