Former Member of Parliament for Aburi North, Betty Krosby Mensah, has playfully asserted that Deputy Minority Leader Patricia Appiagyei is in the wrong political party and should consider joining the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Speaking in an exclusive interview with GhanaWeb on July 26, 2026, Krosby Mensah was asked to name female politicians she admires, including those from the opposing political divide.

Responding, she said it was difficult to single out one person because there are many women in Ghana's political landscape whom she respects.

"To answer your question about a female politician I admire from the other side is very difficult," she said.

"There are many women in Ghana's political space whom I admire. Look at our mother, the Vice President of the Republic, Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang. She is such an inspiration. There are many women I look up to," she added.

Turning her attention to the opposition, she added with a smile: "From the other political party, I admire Madam Patricia Appiagyei. In fact, I think she is in the wrong party. She should consider changing her party and join the NDC," she teased.

Krosby Mensah made the remarks as she prepares to contest for the position of National Women's Organiser of the NDC.
