A new poll conducted by Global InfoAnalytics has revealed that Ghanaians are divided on whether President John Dramani Mahama should seek a third term in office.

The poll, released on Monday, July 27, 2026, by the Executive Director of Global InfoAnalytics, Mussa K Dankwah, shows 50% of respondents disagree with calls for Mahama to seek another term, while 40% support the idea and 10% remain undecided.

The survey comes following petitions sent to the Supreme Court over the interpretation of Article 66(2) of Ghana’s 1992 Constitution, which limits presidents to two terms, with arguments centering on non-consecutive service.
