Ga Mantse receives Sambus Geospatial delegation ahead of ESRI regional conference

The Ga Mantse, His Royal Majesty King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, has received a delegation from Sambus Geospatial Ltd ahead of the ESRI User Conference West Africa 2026 scheduled to take place in Accra.

The delegation, led by the company’s Managing Director, Akua Aboabea Aboah, paid a courtesy call on the Ga Mantse to brief him on the upcoming regional conference and formally invite him to attend the opening ceremony.

The conference is scheduled for September 15 and 16, 2026, at the Mövenpick Ambassador Hotel in Accra.

Speaking during the meeting, Ms Aboah said the conference would bring together government officials, industry leaders, researchers, development partners and geospatial professionals from across West Africa.

She said participants would explore how Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and location intelligence are increasingly being used to transform governance, infrastructure development, environmental management and sustainable development.

According to her, hosting the conference in Accra reflects Ghana’s growing position as a regional hub for geospatial innovation and provides an opportunity to deepen collaboration among countries across the sub-region.

The Ga Mantse welcomed the delegation and commended Sambus Geospatial Ltd for championing technology-driven solutions aimed at supporting national and regional development.

He expressed appreciation for the invitation and wished the organisers success with the conference.

The ESRI User Conference West Africa 2026 is expected to feature keynote addresses, technical sessions, exhibitions and networking opportunities, with discussions focusing on the future of geospatial technology and its role in Africa’s development.
