Residents of Bantama in Kumasi have criticised police officers after a pursuit of a sprinter bus through the township allegedly ended in a crash with a motorcyclist.
In a video shared on X on July 29, 2026, angry residents were seen confronting the officers, questioning the manner in which the chase was conducted.
"What kind of policing is that?" one of the residents was heard asking the police.
According to an eyewitness, the pursuit lasted for about 30 minutes before the driver crashed into a motorcyclist, sparking outrage among residents who blamed the police for the incident.

The video captured a tense scene as onlookers shouted at the officers, with some accusing them of endangering the lives of innocent road users by pursuing the suspect through the busy community.
The condition of the injured motorcyclist was not immediately known, and it remains unclear whether the suspected sprinter driver was arrested following the crash.
The Ghana Police Service has not yet issued an official statement on the incident.
