Widow recounts how police inspector husband died after visiting woman he secretly had a child with

A woman named Rosemond Aduko, who is reported to be the widow of Police Inspector Richard Aduko of the Obuasi Central Police Station, has recounted the events leading to the tragic demise of her husband in a road crash.

Speaking to the media, the widow said that her husband returned from his night shift only to hurriedly walk out after a call, saying he was going to run a personal errand.

She said that despite her efforts to stop him from leaving the house, her husband left, only for her to hear hours later that he had been involved in an accident.

She said that after the accident, she got to know that her husband was involved after going to see a woman he was having an affair with.

She claimed that the late police inspector had fathered a child with the woman he went to see, which she did not know about.

“He told me he was attending to something, Fahiakobo, not knowing he was going to see a girl he had a child with. It was the girl who was calling him to bring her money when he tried sleeping after returning from work.

“I didn’t know that he had a child with someone,” she said in the Twi dialect.

She added, “On Monday, the girl came to sit behind me, and I heard her say that he died right after leaving her place.”
