Liverpool players clash over captain's armband during pre-season game

Asked about the incident after the match, Szoboszlai avoided discussing the disagreement directly.

Instead, he stressed the importance of leadership within the squad, pointing to Virgil van Dijk as the team's established captain and emphasizing that every player is committed to supporting the club and following the manager's direction.

Despite the brief altercation, the Reds will be encouraged by another positive pre-season outing, with youngster Rio Ngumoha scoring the only goal of the game as Liverpool continued their preparations for the new campaign.
