'You're a Small Boy' vs 'Ignorant Old Man': Watch as Kwesi Botchway clashes with Amaliba on live TV

A heated exchange erupted between Kwesi Botchway Jnr, a member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) legal team, and Abraham Amaliba of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) on the July 31, 2026 edition of TV3’s New Day show.

The confrontation stemmed from discussions on the acquittal of former MASLOC CEO, Sedina Tamakloe‑Attionu, by the Court of Appeal.

Botchway, while drawing comparisons between her acquittal and the conviction of NPP’s Chairman Wontumi, was interrupted by Amaliba.

“You said a lot of things that I disagreed with, but I didn’t interject. I wrote them down. What sort of heckling is this? You’ve been heckling me for a while now,” Botchway protested.

Amaliba countered by accusing Botchway of lying; an accusation that prompted Botchway to hit back at him.

"What is this? You lied. You lied," Amaliba fumed.

“You also lied from the pits of hell that the prosecution did not call any witnesses. You lied. I have just read to you that the prosecution called the head of finance of MASLOC,” Botchway also fired back.

The exchanges escalated into further fiery speeches.

"You are a small boy!" Amaliba exclaimed.

Botchway then also hit back: "You are also an ignorant old man!"
