Some members of the Minority Caucus in Parliament have sparked widespread reactions online after a video of them participating in a trending social media challenge surfaced.

In the video, which has been making the rounds on social media and was sighted by GhanaWeb on July 31, 2026, some Minority MPs were seen playfully teasing the Majority Leader, Mahama Ayariga.

In the less-than-one-minute clip, the legislators, who appeared to have joined the latest social media trend, were heard chanting, “Mahama Ayariga wakyi gu hɔ.”

Their comment comes after the majority leader had concluded his commentary on the mid-year budget review, which was presented recently by the finance minister.

The video has since generated mixed reactions on social media.

While some netizens criticised the Minority MPs, accusing them of not taking parliamentary business seriously, others found the video entertaining and mocked the lawmakers over their antics.
