'Pay us our money' - Zoomlion Sprayers Department workers protest over unpaid salaries

Workers from the Sprayers Department of Zoomlion Ghana Limited staged a protest on Monday, demanding the immediate payment of salary arrears spanning 29 months.

According to them, the prolonged non-payment has caused severe hardship, with one worker stating that “people are suffering and dying.”

In a video shared by UTV Ghana and sighted by GhanaWeb on August 3, 2026, protesters carried placards addressed to company leadership that read “Mr Zoomlion, Pay Us Our Salaries Now,” “No Pay, No Work,” and “Enough Is Enough.”

The lead convener, Patrick Nartey, speaking to journalists, expressed frustration over the long delay and the impact on workers and their families.

"We are here this morning demanding that the Zoomlion Head Office find every way and means to give us our money. We are demanding our money as soon as possible. Look at old men and women carrying heavy loads on their backs and spraying."

The workers have called on Zoomlion management to settle the arrears promptly.
