Ghana explores sustainable string technology to modernise transport

The Ministry of Transport has expressed its readiness to explore innovative and environmentally sustainable transport solutions following a courtesy call by a delegation from uScovery DMCC, a member of the Unitsky Group of Companies.

The delegation, led by Chief Executive Officer Oleg Zaretskiy, visited the Ministry to introduce Unitsky String Technology, an innovative transport concept developed by Unitsky String Technologies Inc.

During the meeting, Zaretskiy briefed ministry officials on the potential application of the technology in Ghana’s transport sector.

He said the system was designed to provide high-speed, cost-efficient and environmentally friendly mobility as an alternative to conventional transport infrastructure.

He also highlighted its potential to address growing mobility demands while reducing the environmental impact associated with traditional modes of transportation.

Welcoming the delegation, Deputy Minister for Transport and Member of Parliament for Jomoro, Dorcas Affo-Toffey, expressed the Ministry’s interest in assessing the suitability of the technology for Ghana.

She assured the delegation of the Ministry’s support in providing the necessary information to facilitate a comprehensive feasibility assessment.

However, she stressed that any potential collaboration would depend on a thorough evaluation of the system’s technical, economic and practical viability within the Ghanaian context.

The engagement forms part of the government’s broader strategy to modernise national infrastructure through innovative and sustainable approaches.

The meeting is expected to provide a basis for further discussions on the potential application of the technology and the requirements for a comprehensive feasibility assessment, reflecting the government’s commitment to improving mobility and promoting sustainable national development.
