Dr Bawumia tasks new NPP Central executives to unite for victory

Newly elected Central Regional Executives of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) have paid a courtesy call on the party’s flagbearer, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, as they begin preparations to strengthen the party’s structures in the region.

The meeting, held on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, provided an opportunity for Dr Bawumia to congratulate the newly elected executives on their victories and commend them for their commitment to the grassroots foundation of the party.

Dr Bawumia urged the executives to prioritise unity and work closely with party stakeholders across all constituencies in the Central Region.

He stressed the need for cohesion within the party, particularly as the new regional leadership assumes responsibility for coordinating the activities of the NPP across the region.



“Let us foster absolute unity and work hand in hand with all party stakeholders across all constituencies in the Central Region,” Dr Bawumia urged the executives.

In response, the newly elected executives expressed gratitude to the flagbearer for his encouragement and pledged to work diligently with the various local party structures.

They also committed to building stronger collaboration among the party’s grassroots structures and galvanising support across the region.

The executives reaffirmed their determination to work in harmony towards securing what they described as an overwhelming and resounding victory for the NPP in the Central Region.
