The Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) says it is working to resolve technical challenges causing delays in tax payments made through the Ghana.gov platform.

The problem, which started on Friday, August 14, 2026, is affecting some payments initiated through the Integrated Customs Management System (ICUMS), Integrated Tax Administration System (ITAS) and Ghana Integrated Tax Management and Information System (GITMIS).

In a statement issued on August 20, 2026, the GRA explained that the challenge was limited to payment processing and did not prevent taxpayers from filing their tax returns.

“The payment platform remains operational; however, some payment transactions may experience delays in processing or in reflecting on taxpayers’ respective portals,” the Authority stated.

The GRA said it was working with its technical partners to resolve the problem and restore normal payment processing as soon as possible.

According to the Authority, payments that have already been made but are yet to appear on taxpayers’ portals will be processed and updated once the system returns to normal.

“Outstanding payment transactions will be processed and duly reflected on taxpayers’ portals once the situation is fully normalised,” the GRA assured.

The Authority said the issue was being treated as a priority, with measures being taken to minimise further disruptions to taxpayers, importers and clearing agents.

The GRA apologised for the inconvenience and said it would provide further updates as necessary.
