Senyo Hosi, Economic policy analyst
Economic policy analyst, Senyo Hosi, has denied claims that he has secured a lucrative contract from the Ghana Gold Board (GoldBod) to provide a platform for banks to buy and sell gold.
Hosi issued the rebuttal in response to a news card circulating on social media which claimed that he had been awarded a “juicy contract” by GoldBod.
Responding to the claims on X on August 24, 2026, he described the news card as fake and said he had neither secured such a contract nor knew that banks in Ghana supplied gold to GoldBod.
“I have not landed any contract to provide a platform for buying and selling gold from banks. I also did not know that the banks in Ghana supply Gold to GoldBod,” he said.

He, however, stated that his team continues to develop financial and operational technology locally, adding that they are ready to support state institutions if given the opportunity.
“What is true is that my team continues to build world-class financial and operational technology, locally designed and owned. We will always be ready to support Ghana’s institutions when called upon,” Hosi stated.
According to him, his team would be ready to deliver should such an opportunity arise in the future, but stressed that no such contract had been awarded to him at the moment.
