He doesn't learn - Anthony Joshua slammed for reckless go-kart stunt after fatal crash

Anthony Joshua has been criticised for “reckless” and “irresponsible” behaviour after sharing a video of himself climbing along the edge of a moving go-kart, just eight months after surviving a fatal car crash in Nigeria.

The former world heavyweight champion, 36, was a passenger in the 2025 December accident, which claimed the lives of his two close friends and team members, Sina Ghami and Latif Ayodele.

Recently, Joshua was spotted enjoying a holiday in the Dominican Republic, where he posted videos of him riding in a go-kart alongside friends.

In one clip, Joshua was seen shuffling along the edge of the moving vehicle, while another showed him reaching towards a second go-kart travelling alongside him.

The footage quickly drew criticism, with former world champion Johnny Nelson among those questioning Joshua’s decision to engage in such a dangerous stunt.

“I saw it, and I put my head in my hands. I thought, ‘What are you thinking? What are you doing, man?’” Nelson told Boxing King Media.

Nelson said Joshua should understand the dangers after what happened in December.

“Post it or not, it was just a stupid thing to do. It had danger written all over it,” he added.

The incident has sparked concern among fans, particularly given the tragic circumstances of Joshua’s December crash.
