Family of the late Kessben announces date for one-week observance

The family of the late business mogul, Stephen Boateng, popularly known as Kessben, has announced September 17, 2026, as the scheduled date for his one-week observance.

The family made the disclosure during a gathering of loved ones including the media fraternity to commiserate with them on Monday, August 24, 2026.

Speaking during the signing of the book of condolence, the Head of Programmes of OTEC FM, Isaac Osei Akoto, assured the bereaved family of their continued support during the difficult period.

“We stand with the family in this difficult moment. We will continue to support and stand by the bereaved family in whatever way we can,” he said.

Receiving the delegation, Nana Nsiah Asiedu, brother of the widow, expressed appreciation to the well-wishers for their support.

He indicated that the family has scheduled the one-week observance for Thursday, September 17, 2026, at Ridge Park near the Officers’ Mess.

He appealed to friends, sympathisers and well-wishers to support the family in organising a befitting one-week observation in honour of the late Kessben.

“We have scheduled the one-week observance for September 17 at Ridge Park near the Officers’ Mess. We appeal to everyone, including friends and sympathisers, to support us in giving our departed hero a befitting observation,” he said.

Stephen Boateng, widely known as Kwabena Kesse or Kessben, passed away on August 20, 2026, in Kumasi following a short illness.
