President Mahama, Chief Imam, Ablakwa pay tribute to late Deputy Ambassador to Saudi Arabia

President John Dramani Mahama, the National Chief Imam, His Eminence Dr Osmanu Nuhu Sharubutu, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, have paid glowing tributes to the late Deputy Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Alhaji Saani Jajah.

The tributes were delivered during a solemn funeral held at Maamobi to honour the late diplomat, who was remembered for his dedication, integrity and service to Ghana.

Speaking about the late diplomat’s contribution to the country, Ablakwa described Alhaji Jajah as a man of “extraordinary kindness, integrity, dedication, patriotism and selfless devotion in the service of Ghana.”

He said the late Deputy Ambassador touched the lives of many people through his character and commitment to public service.

“Our prayers and thoughts continue to be with his family and the many loved ones he touched,” Ablakwa said.

Ablakwa also expressed gratitude to the Government of Saudi Arabia for granting special dispensation for Alhaji Jajah to be buried at the renowned and sacred Al-Baqi Cemetery in Medina.

Ablakwa prayed for the deceased’s soul to rest in peace and for Allah to grant him Jannatul Firdaus.

“May his memory be a blessing and may Allah grant him Jannatul Firdaus,” he stated.
