Co-Chair of the Global Entrepreneurship Festival (GEF) Ghana, Amar Deep Singh Hari, says Ghana is well positioned to attract fresh foreign investment as the country prepares to showcase its business potential to entrepreneurs and investors from around the world.

Speaking at the Global Business Forum on August 28, 2026, Sign Hari, who is also Executive Chairman of IPMC, described Ghana as a fertile and promising investment destination with opportunities for international businesses seeking to establish a presence in Africa.

He said the festival connects Ghanaian entrepreneurs with global investors and business leaders to create new investment opportunities.

According to him, last year's festival attracted business people from nearly 50 countries and generated a number of investment opportunities.

“Through that, lots of investment opportunities were created because there were businessmen from almost 50 countries represented at that time,” he said.

He mentioned that this year's festival is expected to once again give Ghana a major platform to present its investment opportunities to the international business community.

“Ghana is being represented in a big way to show what Ghana is to the rest of the world, and we expect a lot of investment opportunities arising from there,” he stated.

Beyond attracting investment, he indicated the need to strengthen entrepreneurship as a means of creating jobs and expanding the economy.

He said Africa has for years lacked a common platform where emerging entrepreneurs can interact directly with experienced and successful business leaders.

According to him, the festival is helping to close that gap by creating an environment where entrepreneurs can learn from people who have built successful businesses and understand the lessons behind their success.

“If we get more businesses, more employment will get created,” he said.

He maintained that developing more businesses and entrepreneurs would be critical to addressing unemployment and building stronger African economies.
