Strika was reportedly seen cutting the railings of the footbridge
Ghanaian actor Emmanuel Nii Adom Quaye, popularly known as Strika, who gained international attention as a child star in the 2015 Netflix film Beasts of No Nation, has reportedly been caught in his attempt to steal metal railings at the Kwashieman footbridge in Accra.
A video of the incident surfaced on social media on Saturday, August 29, 2026, quickly generating widespread reactions from Ghanaians and fans familiar with the actor’s early career.
In the footage, Strika is seen at the footbridge as a group of residents confront him.
According to reports accompanying the video, Strika was allegedly attempting to remove sections of the metal railing from the public facility, with claims that the materials were intended to be sold as scrap metal.
The incident has triggered a mixture of disappointment, concern and debate online, particularly because of Strika’s remarkable rise to fame at a young age.
