UMB, 3TREES Ghana will paint outlets in every constituency during Ghana's 70th independence day
Ahead of Ghana’s 70th Independence Anniversary in March 2027, Universal Merchant Bank (UMB) and 3TREES Ghana have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for a paint discount scheme.
The scheme will provide discounts of between 35% and 55% on selected exterior all-weather paints, based on approved specifications.
It will run from October 1, 2026, to March 30, 2027, and will be available to individuals, businesses, schools and community organisations undertaking painting and building maintenance projects.
The agreement includes plans to establish sales outlets in constituencies across the country, with Members of Parliament expected to assist with local mobilisation and the establishment of the outlets.
The availability of products at constituency level will depend on the establishment and opening of the planned outlets.
UMB will serve as the banking and settlement partner for the scheme and is developing a digital payment platform for transactions involving the participating paint products.
UMB is participating in the scheme with 3TREES Ghana and Strawberry Star.
UMB Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Dr Philip Oti-Mensah, said the bank’s participation was part of its activities in support of national development.
