Most of the countries allow Ghanaian ordinary passport holders to stay for up to 90 days
Ghanaian holders of ordinary passports can travel to 41 countries without obtaining a visa in advance, according to a list of visa waiver arrangements issued by the Media Relations Officer of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Fred Duhoe.
The destinations comprise 28 non-ECOWAS countries and the 14 other member states of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).
Most of the countries allow Ghanaian ordinary passport holders to stay for up to 90 days, while Grenada, Maldives and Zambia allow stays of up to 30 days.

Bahamas – 90 days
Barbados – 90 days
Dominica – 90 days
Eswatini – 90 days
Grenada – 30 days
Guyana – 90 days
Jamaica – 90 days
Kenya – 90 days
Lesotho – 90 days
Malawi – 90 days
Maldives – 30 days
Mauritius – 90 days
Mozambique – 90 days
Morocco – 90 days
Rwanda – 90 days
Saint Kitts and Nevis – 90 days
Saint Vincent and the Grenadines – 90 days
São Tomé and Príncipe – 90 days
Seychelles – 90 days
Singapore – 90 days
South Africa – 90 days
Tanzania – 90 days
Trinidad and Tobago – 90 days
Uganda – 90 days
United Arab Emirates – 90 days
Zambia – 30 days
Zimbabwe – 90 days
Ghanaian citizens travelling to Morocco under the arrangement are required to obtain a free Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) online.
For the United Arab Emirates, the arrangement provides for a visa to be issued at the UAE Embassy in Accra upon payment of the applicable fee.
Ghanaians get visa-free access to Maldives, Zambia and Antigua and Barbuda
ECOWAS countries
Ghanaian ordinary passport holders can also travel to all other ECOWAS member states without a visa for up to 90 days.
These countries are:

Burkina Faso – 90 days
Cabo Verde – 90 days
Côte d’Ivoire – 90 days
The Gambia – 90 days
Guinea – 90 days
Guinea-Bissau – 90 days
Liberia – 90 days
Mali – 90 days
Niger – 90 days
Nigeria – 90 days
Senegal – 90 days
Sierra Leone – 90 days
Togo – 90 days
The visa waiver arrangements form part of Ghana’s broader network of agreements covering different categories of Ghanaian passports.
Travellers are, however, expected to comply with the entry requirements of individual countries, including permitted lengths of stay and any applicable electronic travel authorisation or other conditions.
The list specifically covers ordinary passport holders and does not necessarily reflect arrangements applicable to service or diplomatic passport holders, which may be governed by separate agreements.
