Ablakwa with the nine-time National Science and Mathematics Quiz (NSMQ) champions
Minister of Foreign Affairs Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has presented MacBooks, cash awards and other incentives to the nine-time National Science and Mathematics Quiz (NSMQ) champions following their latest triumph.
Ablakwa received the champions and the coveted NSMQ trophy at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Friday, September 11, 2026, describing the occasion as a “profoundly proud moment” and a continuation of the “Odade3” tradition.
According to Ablakwa, he presented MacBooks to the students based on their preferences, while laptops were also given to their coordinators and teaching staff in line with their wishes.
“Our Odade3 tradition continues. It was a profoundly proud moment to receive the 9-time National Science and Mathematics Quiz (NSMQ) champions and the coveted trophy at the Foreign Ministry yesterday,” he said in a post shared on X on Saturday, September 12.

He added that the champions also received a cash award and a holiday treat in recognition of their achievement.
Ablakwa further disclosed that a special NSMQ bus would be delivered to the team in December, describing the gesture as part of his consistent support for the champions over the years.
He wished the team continued success, saying their achievement reflects qualities including hard work, sacrifice, perseverance, integrity and commitment to excellence.
