The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Cardinal Namdini Mining Limited, Wang Jinguan, has made a strong case for Ghana as a preferred destination for mining investment in Africa.

He was speaking at the Ghana Day event, held as part of the 28th China International Mining Conference and Exhibition (China Mining 2026) at the Meijiang Convention Center in Tianjin, China.

Addressing global investors, mining executives and government officials, Wang Jinguan said Ghana remains open for business and presents a compelling case for long-term mining investment.

“Namdini demonstrates what is possible when world-class resources, responsible mining, and strategic partnerships come together,” he said.

Wang Jinguan said Ghana’s status as Africa’s premier mining investment destination is anchored on three key pillars.

First, Ghana is Africa’s leading gold producer with a proven world-class resource base. He said the Namdini Gold Project, being developed by Cardinal Namdini Mining Limited, a subsidiary of Shandong Gold, is a clear demonstration of that potential.

Second, Ghana offers a stable democracy and rule of law, which guarantees investor protection and provides a safe environment for long-term investment.

Third, the country has an attractive mining regulatory framework, with clear laws and strong government support for responsible mining.

He said Cardinal Namdini Mining Limited is committed to delivering a world-class gold asset and building sustainable value through the Ghana-China partnership.

The company is also pursuing regional growth opportunities beyond Namdini, including resource expansion around Namdini, regional exploration programmes, and the Sabronum Project in the Ahafo Ano District of the Ashanti Region.

The Ghana Day event forms part of Ghana’s strategic drive to attract foreign direct investment into its mining sector at the 2026 China Mining Conference.
