Meet the former NSMQ contestant who is now a medical doctor

Dr Marcelinus Agbenyegah, a former contestant for Accra Academy at the 2020 National Science & Maths Quiz (NSMQ), has successfully completed his medical training at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).

Agbenyegah’s achievement was celebrated on social media by the Accra Academy alumni community on Thursday, September 25, 2026, describing his journey as one characterised by sacrifice, discipline, perseverance and faith.

From the NSMQ stage in 2020 to earning his medical degree years later, Agbenyegah’s path has been hailed as a reflection of his commitment to academic excellence.

He pursued his medical education at the KNUST School of Medical Sciences, completing the training that now earns him the title of Medical Doctor.
