Security analyst Adib Saani has raised questions over the deaths of three siblings who were found inside a parked vehicle at Koblimahagu Zuo in the Tamale Metropolis.

The children, aged three, five and eight, had reportedly gone missing on Saturday before their bodies were discovered inside the vehicle on Monday morning, October 5, 2026.

Saani said the circumstances surrounding how the children ended up inside the locked vehicle raise questions that investigators must answer before determining whether the case is linked to a serial killer or an isolated incident.

“Because if a vehicle is locked, the only way you can access it is to either break the glass or break the locking mechanism, but none of that happened. So, I think there are so many questions that we need answers to, to be able to make sense of what is going on and to be able to tell whether this is a serial killer on the loose or it's an isolated case,” he said.

Saani also said the way the bodies were reportedly placed in the trunk suggested that whoever was responsible may have taken time to carry out the act.

“But surely this appears to be premeditated because of the professionalism involved in having to move their bodies and understand they were laid down in the trunk of their car in a very neat, so to speak, fashion,” he added.

He further said that the high number of criminal cases that remain unresolved could encourage offenders to believe they can escape justice.

“But if you look at the crime statistics that I have, a lot of the cases we haven't really gotten to a conclusion. So the possibility of a criminal getting away with crime is higher than him getting caught, and that is what is motivating a lot of these criminals into perpetrating their criminal acts,” Saani stated.

“I understand the children went for Islamic school, okay? What protocols do you have in place? Because for children they can be invited into a house by anyone because of the nature of our communities in the north, and they can be offered food,” he asserted.

He added that the community could play an important role in helping the police establish what happened to the children.

“So, to what extent do we even educate our children not to take food from strangers? The community also would have to give out information because no matter what, someone would have seen something, okay? That is why it is critical that the police engage the community so we get to know if anyone had seen anything and would give out information that would help to a very large extent.

“I think they also need to look at the area and see the possibility of someone having installed a CCTV system that could help unravel what exactly happened,” he added.

Meanwhile, the police have arrested an immigration officer in connection with the deaths of the three children.

According to the police, the vehicle in which the children were found belongs to the immigration officer. He reportedly told investigators that he had abandoned the vehicle for five days after it got stuck in the mud.
