Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, Minister for Lands and Natural Resources and Member of Parliament for Ellembelle, has been officially called to the Ghana Bar as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Ghana.

Armah-Kofi Buah was among 1,568 newly qualified lawyers admitted to the Bar at the 63rd Call to the Bar ceremony, organised by the General Legal Council at the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) Christ Temple in Teshie, Accra, on Friday, October 9, 2026.

Reflecting on the milestone, Armah-Kofi Buah said his journey to the Bar had been decades in the making and gave glory to God for its fulfilment.

“To God be the glory. Decades ago, I set out to become a lawyer. Life’s winding roads took me in other directions, but the dream never faded. Today, by His grace alone, I have officially been called to the Ghana Bar as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Ghana,” he said.

The Ellembelle legislator encouraged people whose dreams had been delayed to persevere, adding: “To anyone carrying a dream that feels delayed, hold on. Keep believing. Keep working. Your season will come.”

He also quoted Habakkuk 2:3 to reinforce his message: “Though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come.”

Meanwhile, residents of Ellembelle have commended Armah-Kofi Buah for balancing his demanding responsibilities as a Member of Parliament and Cabinet minister with his legal studies, culminating in his admission to the Ghana Bar.

They described his achievement as a demonstration of discipline, resilience and a commitment to lifelong learning, noting that his example would inspire young people in the constituency.

Armah-Kofi Buah was called to the Bar alongside his Cabinet colleague, Samuel Nartey George, Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations and MP for Ningo-Prampram.

Other legislators admitted to the Bar included Davis Ansah Opoku, MP for Mpraeso, and Phyllis Naa Koryoo Okunor, MP for Awutu Senya East.

The ceremony was attended by Chief Justice Paul Baffoe-Bonnie, Attorney-General and Minister for Justice Dr Dominic Akuritinga Ayine, and members of the General Legal Council and the Ghana Bar Association.
