Video of Kojo Bamba’s clash with Otumfuo’s ‘bodyguard’ pops up

The election of Kwadwo Fosu Boadu, popularly known as Kojo Bamba, as the 1st Vice Chairman of the NPP at the just-ended New Patriotic Party (NPP) national executive election has raised a lot of eyebrows.

While proponents of the NPP have praised the election of Kojo Bamba, a former leader of the vigilante groups Bamba Boys and the Delta Forces, saying that he would help protect the party from attacks, especially during elections, others have described his election as a step backwards.

They have said that his election is likely to push the country back into the dreaded days of political party vigilantism.

An old video showing what many fear could happen following the election of the former vigilante leader has popped up.

In the video, Kojo Bamba is seen clashing with Seidu MBA, a self-proclaimed personal bodyguard of the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, who is often seen with operatives of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Seidu is seen confronting Kojo Bamba over derogatory remarks the latter allegedly made at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi.

“I have been feeding you; I give you jobs to do. Am I the one you are calling a thief?” Seidu is heard fuming.

Seidu is also seen shoving one of the men accompanying Kojo Bamba, who attempts to push him back.

Police officers at the scene, with the help of some men, managed to separate the two before the confrontation could turn violent.
