Former New Patriotic Party (NPP) Ashanti Regional Communications Director Paul Yandoh has rated Ashanti Regional Minister Dr Frank Amoakohene’s performance at 20 percent, citing stalled infrastructure projects in the region.

Speaking on UTV's Adekye Nsroma on October 13, 2026, he argued that the minister had little to show in terms of completed infrastructure projects since assuming office.

“I would rate Dr Frank Amoakohene’s performance at 20% because his only achievement, in my view, is giving birth,” he said.

He claimed that the government had not undertaken even basic infrastructure works, such as constructing gutters, during the minister’s tenure.

Yandoh also cited three bypass projects along the Kumasi-Accra Highway, which he said had reached approximately 70 percent completion before the previous government left office.

"All the 3 bypass projects on the Accra- Kumasi Highway have stalled, and they want to construct the Kumasi Expressway", he noted.

He further referred to congestion at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH), arguing that no expansion project had been undertaken to address the situation.

"About four or five months ago, there was congestion at the facility, No Bed Syndrome; up till now there hasn't been any expansion up till now", he stated.

Yandoh also mentioned that the Sewua Government Hospital, which was commissioned by former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, and the Oforikrom Agenda 111 hospital project had stalled.

He cited the lack of completed infrastructure projects under Dr Amoakohene’s tenure as an assessment of the minister’s performance.
