‘Murderers with Bibles’ - Rev Abraham Lamptey defends Pastor Elvis over attacks from senior clergy

Leader of Believers House of Worship, Rev. Abraham Lamptey, has taken a swipe at some senior pastors in the country following claims by Pastor Elvis Agyemang that some senior clergy have been plotting his downfall.

In a video shared on social media and sighted by GhanaWeb’s Joseph Henry Mensah on October 16, 2026, Rev. Lamptey defended Pastor Elvis Agyemang over the alleged attacks by some senior pastors.

“Here, it's about salvation... Let the pure and holy have a pure-holy church. The church is killing its own people because we have the nartha attitude. Nothing good should happen to anybody because of you,” he said.

While preaching to his congregation, Rev. Lamptey further spoke about how the past five years had been marked by numerous attacks from other senior pastors.

He also indicated that his mother had made them aware of what triggered the issue.

While addressing the matter, Rev. Lamptey was seen expressing his displeasure over the alleged treatment of Pastor Elvis Agyemang by some senior clergy.

“I was watching Pastor Elvis crying because pastors have gathered as if they are God, saying that they were giving him five years from now.

“Your mother and father. Five years from now, you born am. Are you God? Did you call him? Even in those five years, he has done more than you... Witches in clerical colours and murderers with Bibles,” he added.
