A Ghanaian woman climbs China's 168-metre Sky Ladder
A Ghanaian woman has shared a video capturing her climb up the famous 168-metre Sky Ladder on Qixing Mountain in Zhangjiajie, China, an adventure attraction perched high above a dramatic mountain landscape.
The ladder reaches an altitude of approximately 1,480 metres above sea level.
Qixing Mountain, also known as Seven Star Mountain, is a karst isolated-peak plateau located in the southern part of Zhangjiajie, Hunan Province.
It is a unique geological formation with sheer cliffs and a massive saddle-shaped plateau, offering breathtaking views and a variety of outdoor activities.
The mountain is a popular destination for adventure seekers, offering the Via Ferrata, a thrilling climbing experience, and the Sky Ladder, a 168-meter iron rung climb into a vertical cliff face. Visitors can enjoy panoramic views of Zhangjiajie's unique karst scenery and the sea of clouds that can be seen from the summit.

The mountain is also known for its sea of clouds phenomenon, where low valleys fill with mist while the summit remains clear.
Qixing Mountain is a must-visit for those looking to experience the raw beauty of nature and the thrill of outdoor adventure.
Despite its frightening appearance, the attraction uses safety equipment to protect participants throughout the climb.
Visitors are provided with helmets and climbing harnesses and are attached to fixed steel safety cables using locking carabiners.
The route also has a dual-cable system designed to keep climbers secured as they move between the different sections.
Before starting the climb, participants receive a safety briefing and guidance on using the equipment.
However, the exposed nature of the route means visitors must remain attentive, follow instructions and be comfortable with heights. Weather conditions can also affect visibility and the climbing experience.
The attraction is designed to give visitors the thrill of scaling a steep mountain face while using a secured climbing system.
