'They will use police and lawyers to search for me' - Man behind viral Villagio video alleges

Efo Kodjo, a Ghanaian social media personality, has alleged that he has been receiving numerous threats from netizens and the management of Villagio following a video that surfaced online.

On October 21, 2026, Efo Kodjo shared a disturbing video on social media showing massive concrete blocks tumbling down as onlookers scrambled to safety.

In the video, loud sounds could be heard coming from the building moments before debris began falling from the high-rise structure under construction near the popular Villagio Hotel.

In a recent development, following the attention the video received, Efo Kodjo, in a separate post shared on X, claimed that he had been threatened by the company.

According to him, he received a call from an unidentified individual who claimed to be calling from the popular hotel and threatened that he should report to their office or face legal action.

“I just got a call from someone at Villagio threatening me to come to their office or else, they’ll use police and lawyers to search for me,” he said.

Strong winds ahead of this afternoon’s rainfall have caused parts of the newly constructed Villaggio Apartment building, which is still under construction at Airport Residential Area, to break off from the top of the structure.
