Chief Justice of The Gambia, Justice Edrissa M O Faal, has undertaken a five-day study visit to Ghana to strengthen judicial cooperation and exchange experiences on the administration of justice.

The visit, which began on Monday, October 19, 2026, provided a platform for the two judicial institutions to consolidate their existing bilateral relations and share perspectives on the justice delivery system.

As part of his engagements, Justice Faal held meetings with Ghana’s Chief Justice Paul Baffoe-Bonnie, Justices of the Supreme Court, Judicial Secretary Musah Ahmed, and the director and management of the Ghana School of Law.

The meetings offered an opportunity for discussions on judicial administration and the experiences of the two institutions in delivering justice.

Beyond the meetings, the Gambian Chief Justice observed court proceedings at Ghana’s Supreme Court in Accra, giving him an opportunity to witness proceedings at the country’s apex court.
