Traditional leaders of the Adansi Traditional Council arrived at the Obuasi Senior High Technical School (SHTS) campus to perform pacification rites at an alleged burial site amid the controversy involving the school's headmaster.
In a video shared on TikTok and sighted by GhanaWeb on October 29, 2026, the traditional leaders were seen pouring libations at a spot where it is believed a baby was allegedly buried by invoking ancestral spirits to help bring the truth to light.
The traditional leaders called on the ancestral spirits to reveal what happened, as they performed the rites at the site.
The Adansi Traditional Council has also urged the Ghana Police Service to expedite investigations into the matter to establish the facts surrounding the allegations.
The development comes amid public concern over allegations of sexual misconduct at Obuasi SHTS, which have drawn attention to the school's handling of the issue and the need for accountability.

In August 2026, students rioted and attacked the headmaster at his bungalow, accusing him of ritual practices (burying a baby) and misconduct involving female students.
Police arrested several students and teachers following the violence, while complaints began surfacing.
Journalist Manasseh Azure Awuni released an exposé detailing allegations that Zakaria Abdulai, coerced and abused about 19 female students by luring them to his residence.
Reports indicate that prior petitions and complaints lodged by some teachers and students earlier in 2026 were unaddressed by local education authorities.
On October 14, 2026, the Ghana Education Service (GES) formally interdicted Abdulai and instructed him to hand over the administration to the Ashanti Regional Director of Education.
Authorities also ordered regional and municipal education directors to step aside while investigation continues.
Police forwarded criminal dockets including rape and defilement allegations to the Office of the Attorney General for advice and prosecution.
Abdulai reportedly filed a defamation lawsuit against journalist Manasseh Azure Awuni
Abdulai, who was vying for a constituency chairmanship position with the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), withdrew from the race.
