Rev Owusu Bempah attacks Pastor Mensa Otabil over comments on prophetic ministry

The General Overseer of Glorious Word Power Ministries International, Reverend Isaac Owusu Bempah, has taken a swipe at the founder and General Overseer of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC), Pastor Mensa Otabil, over what he describes as attacks on the prophetic ministry.

Speaking to his congregation on November 2, 2026, Rev Owusu Bempah alleged that Pastor Otabil had made comments suggesting that the prophetic ministry was outdated.

He further claimed that Pastor Otabil had stated that about 90 per cent of prophets in Ghana were fake, with only a few being genuine.

Reacting to the alleged comments, Rev Owusu Bempah accused the pastor of undermining the prophetic ministry and warned that his conduct needed to be checked.

“There is a person in this country who wants to quench the prophetic fire in the country.

“He is fooling and misbehaving and needs to be put in his place. If he is not checked, he will continue to do such things,” he said.
