Lawyer dies in accident 22 days after call to the Bar

Thomas Kwabena Opoku, a hospital administrator who was called to the Ghana Bar on October 9, 2026, has reportedly died in a road accident.

According to reports making the rounds on social media, Opoku died on Saturday, October 31, 2026, just 22 days after his call to the Bar.

He celebrated his qualification to practise law on October 9, marking a new milestone in his professional life alongside over 1,500 newly qualified lawyers at the recent Call to the Bar Ceremony.

His death was reported by Ghbase News in a Facebook post on Monday, November 2, 2026.

The circumstances surrounding the accident are yet to be disclosed.
