A hairdresser has reportedly converted the Danquah First bus stop into a makeshift salon, taking over a public facility intended to provide commuters with shelter while waiting for transport.
In a video shared on X on November 4, 2026, the hairdresser is seen displaying hair mannequins fitted with braided wigs alongside other hairdressing equipment at the bus stop, which has allegedly been turned into a space for her business.
The development has reportedly deprived commuters of access to the shelter, forcing them to wait for public transport in the open under the scorching sun.

The situation has raised concerns about the misuse of public facilities and the inconvenience caused to commuters who depend on the shelter for protection from harsh weather conditions.
The Korle Klottey Municipal Assembly has been urged to intervene and take immediate action to reclaim the facility and restore it to its intended purpose.
