Dr Chukwudi Jude Ihenetu is known as 'HRM Eze Igbo King in Ghana'
A Ghanaian pastor and used-car importer, William Owusu, has sued Nigerian national Dr Chukwudi Jude Ihenetu, popularly known as the ‘HRM Eze Igbo King in Ghana’, over an alleged failure to pay GH¢800,000 for a 2018 Lincoln Navigator.
According to a report by The Law Platform on November 5, 2026, Owusu claims Ihenetu took possession of the white luxury vehicle in February 2026 after agreeing to buy it but has since failed to pay any part of the purchase price.

In a writ of summons filed at the Adenta Circuit Court on October 5, 2026, Owusu said a mutual friend introduced Ihenetu to him in December 2025 as a prospective buyer.
He said he and his wife agreed to sell the vehicle to Ihenetu for GH¢800,000, with payment to be made in two instalments.
Under the agreement, Ihenetu was expected to pay GH¢400,000 in March 2026 and the remaining GH¢400,000 between April and May 2026.
Owusu said he released the vehicle to Ihenetu but kept the original customs and ownership documents as security. However, he alleges that the defendant failed to make any payment and later avoided his attempts to reach him.
The plaintiff further stated that he reported the matter to the East Legon Police Station, where Ihenetu was invited and gave a statement.
According to the court documents, Ihenetu subsequently signed a written undertaking in the presence of police officers, promising to pay the full GH¢800,000 by September 15, 2026.
However, Owusu claims the defendant failed to honour the undertaking and continued using the vehicle without paying for it.
He said a formal demand letter was served on Ihenetu on September 17, 2026, asking him to pay the money, but he had neither paid nor returned the vehicle.

Owusu is asking the court to order Ihenetu to pay the GH¢800,000, together with interest, damages for breach of contract and legal costs.
Alternatively, he wants the court to order the immediate return of the vehicle and award him US$700 per day for its use from February 2026 until it is returned.
