It has never been in doubt that Joy FM has an agenda against President John Mills and his government. However, the latest orchestrations by some hawks on the payroll of Mr. Kwesi Twum at the radio station have further brought to the fore, their strong affiliation with the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP). In fact, The Informer respects the independence of Joy FM, as well as its editorial board; but the activities of the station in recent times in carrying out its core functions of news dissemination, education and entertainment to the general public with no objectivity does not only exposed their utmost dislike for the Atta Mills government, but portrays it as mere working tool in the hands of the NPP and Nana Akufo-Addo.
Whiles media houses are being commended internationally for their objectivity in reporting on the latest US cable released on Ghana, Joy FM, with its unflinching support and allegiance to the NPP and party Flagbearer, Mr. Williams Addo-Dankwa Akufo-Addo, without weighing the repercussions of that actions, has decided to skew the Wikileaks report; as it targets members of the current administration, just to divert attention from the core issues contained in the cable. A scan through their website and news items carried out right from day one the cable became a subject of global discussion, with the station’s entrenched position, vividly explains the agenda of Joy FM and those leading the onslaught on government and its appointees.
Instead of bringing professionalism to the fore and dispassionately deal with the issues contained in the cable, the morning show host of the station, Mr. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, who has become darling-boy to the NPP rather decided to deal with sections of the report concerning statements made by some appointees of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) government.

Is the animal farm being set up right at Joy FM with Kojo Oppong Nkrumah as the farm manager or what?
What has become of our daily saying of: what is good for the goose is equally good for the gander; that Joy FM thinks or makes us believe that members of the NPP are godly and therefore should be treated special?
Madam Hannah Tetteh, Baba Jamal, Fiifi Kwetey and Mahama Ayariga, have all been captured to have made certain comments, which are always on the table of discussion, so why not the expose’ on Akufo-Addo?
We know it will be difficult for Joy FM to change from its evil ways but the fact is that, they want to be taken serious, and this is the time, since its credibility has been so dented following the conduct of some persons parading the facility.
What Kojo Oppong Nkrumah and his likes at Joy FM may not know is that, whether they discuss Akufo-Addo’s wee-smoking habit per the Wikileaks reports or not, Ghanaians have come to terms that he is not the kind of leader they want, as compared to President Mills, and so must refrain from their evil ways and try to be objective so to be recommended for some bigger appointment one day. What has even exposed Joy FM and Kojo Oppong Nkrumah of their treachery is how known-NPP radio stations like Kennedy Agyepong’s Oman FM and Peace FM have all kept their balance allowing panelists to fairly discuss the cable.
