DAILY POST’S REACTION TO AKUFO-ADDO’S DENIAL OF BREACH OF SECURITY AT KIA
We have read with amusement a reaction from the Office of the Flagbearer of the NPP to yesterday's headlined story of our paper captioned AKUFO-ADDO REFUSES SECURITY CHECKS @KIA.
The reaction, signed by the Press Secretary, Herbert Krapa saw the office flatly denying our assertion that Nana Akufo-Addo, in a brazen act of indiscipline and recklessness, refused to submit himself to the standard security checks before boarding British Airways Flight 078 to London.
Herbert Krapa described our assertion as a lie “baked in a dilapidating kitchen of falsehood and served on the cracked plates of malicious assassination of character.”
He went on to state that Nana Akufo-Addo “went through normal security procedure at the Kotoka International Airport…was searched including a physical body search.”
Ordinarily, we will have loved to ignore this lie because neither Nana Akufo-Addo nor any of his spokespersons have so far been able to muster the courage to speak truthfully to the serious allegations of wee smoking and cocaine sniffing that has been made against him. Sadly, the NPP flagbearer does not even have the courage to admit that he once attended Oxford University for fear of being asked to explain why he was dismissed from this Ivy League school unceremoniously.
Yet We also note with amusement the claim that our publications are aimed at assassinating Nana Akufo-Addo's character. The question to be asked is whether there is any character worth assassinating in the first place. The NPP flagbearer assassinated his character himself long ago with wee and cocaine; this explains why his attempts to become the President of the Ghana Bar Association on four occasions were rebuffed by his peers who know him for who he is.
We stand by our publication that Nana Akufo-Addo, on the night of Tuesday, November 7, arrived at the KIA late and after his passport and boarding pass were stamped, went through the Central screening section WITHOUT REMOVING HIS SHOES as is required by the Transport & Security Agencies regulation.
Intelligence we have gathered indicates that the CCTV cameras installed at the KIA recorded all that went on when Akufo-Addo arrived. We are aware that security operatives who watched the recording yesterday afternoon came to the conclusion that security was indeed breached when Akufo-Addo went through the Central Screening section without removing his shoes as the regulations require. We beseech the authorities to have it shown on TV for all to see if Nana Akufo-Addo removed his shoes or not as required when he got to the Central Screening section of the airport. Then we shall know who the real liar is!
